application / DEPLOYMENT PRESET

Umami

Privacy-friendly web analytics with PostgreSQL.

Before you start

  • Change the default login immediately: a new install has the account admin with the password umami. Change it in Settings, Profile before adding websites or sharing the URL.
  • Back up the PostgreSQL volume; all analytics data lives there. Keep app-secret and database-password stable.

Configuration that needs your attention

Default login is admin / umami. Change the password on first sign-in, before sharing the URL.

DATABASE_URL is derived from the database-password secret by a native binding; no password is stored in the preset.

Required secrets

Configure these scoped secrets during deployment review in your Hakopod installation. Secret values stay out of the application TOML.

  • app-secret
  • database-password

Use this preset

  1. Open the Catalog in your own Hakopod dashboard and select Umami.
  2. Choose the project, environment, and application name. Set the required values and secret references.
  3. Review the generated configuration, resource requests, networking, and storage plan.
  4. Deploy, then inspect readiness and logs. Configure backups for persistent data before relying on the service.
