Hakopod
& Coolify.
For teams looking for a dashboard over Docker resources and repository-backed or pasted Compose services.
How do your source and Compose workflows fit together?
Check which configuration lives in Git and which lives in the dashboard, then test domains, required environment values, and your actual service dependencies.
01 Workload runtime
Hakopod
K3s runs the workloads. A Go API and reconciler keep accepted operations and history in PostgreSQL.
Coolify
Resources run as Docker containers on connected servers, with Traefik or Caddy as the reverse proxy.
02 Source to deployment
Hakopod
Deploy an image or sync a TOML path from GitHub or GitLab. Dockerfile and buildpack builds run through configured provider CI.
Coolify
Deploy prebuilt images or build from Dockerfile and Compose sources. Repository Compose applications support push-triggered deployment.
03 Describing related services
Hakopod
One application TOML describes services, resource profiles, network membership, mounts and secret references. Review changes before deployment.
Coolify
Compose describes images, environment, volumes, health checks and networks. Repository-backed applications and pasted Compose services have different source workflows.
04 Configuration and credentials
Hakopod
Plain variables live per service. Secret values are stored separately and bound by scoped references in reviewed TOML.
Coolify
Compose variables referenced with ${VAR} are supplied through the environment editor. The ${VAR:?} form marks a required value.
05 Private connections
Hakopod
Application-local networks and project/environment-scoped virtual segments connect selected services. Explicit peer rules restrict declared destination ports.
Coolify
Compose is the source of truth for service networking. Domain routing targets a container port without making that port the public HTTPS port.
Check the details.
Based on the official documentation checked on 13 September 2026. These are workflow differences, not performance rankings. Hakopod is a development release and its shared Cloud service is planned. Editions, licenses and hosted pricing can change; confirm the current terms with each project.
